Formed as a united, independent body by foiling's most established brands, the goal of the Global Foil Board Sports Association (GFA) is to represent the interests of the foil sports industry and to support and promote the interests of all professional riders.

The GFA advocates that foil sports can be done in all countries in harmony with nature. This includes the feasibility of professional competitions on beaches that are suitable for this purpose. The GFA also works to create positive relationships with all national associations as well as with the various professional sports organizations.
